It is our goal to find loving, permanent homes for the homeless pets of Manitowoc County that come through our door each day. We have heard all reasons for their arrival - from allergies, can't afford, too old, or just plain old "I don't want this pet anymore!" It's not an easy job, but our staff does its best to give a positive, new beginning for each pet brought into our care.
Since 1971, the Lakeshore Humane Society has worked to prevent cruelty to animals and advance humane education. This work is made possible only by volunteers and the generous donations from our supporters, as we receive no government funding. Your donation allows us to spay/neuter all of our cats and dogs, provide medical care, feed our residents, keep our lights and water on, and of course, buy that much needed toy to pass the time!
