Many animals arrive at the shelter with medical conditions beyond the scope of our care. Medical conditions can be a tremendous obstacle to adoption due to expensive treatment costs. Your gift impacts our mission by allowing us to provide necessary medical care to animals in need so that they have the best chance at adoption. We can't do it without you. Since the Hope Fund was established over ten years ago, it has helped fund thousands of dollars of medical care through donations.

Jesse was abandoned in a residence for many weeks without food and water. Jessie came to us at the Lakeshore Humane Society emaciated and scared, and also with a painful mammary gland tumor that needed surgery. Without the Hope Fund, animals like Jesse would not be afforded specialized food, prescription medications, and surgery. Today, Jesse is happy and healthy and living in her new home!
